AuditFile has released native applications for the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV and Apple Vision Pro, allowing audit professionals to oversee AI agents and handle engagement tasks from virtually any location.
Accounting firms are increasingly delegating routine audit steps to artificial‑intelligence tools. The shift speeds up data processing but introduces a new oversight burden: AI agents can draft, analyze and follow up around the clock, yet final judgments still require human input.
To address that gap, the new apps place decision points directly on devices that auditors already carry. Push alerts signal when an agent pauses for clarification or finishes a deliverable ready for review, letting the professional approve, return or forward the work without returning to a desktop.

Beyond AI management, the mobile apps replicate core engagement functions. Users can browse clients, engagements, audit areas and procedures; prepare, review or flag procedures as not applicable; read and resolve review comments; capture evidence; view and annotate workpapers; and log billable time. Offline mode ensures those capabilities remain usable in warehouses, basements, airplanes or any spot where connectivity drops.
Wearables and immersive displays expand audit oversight
The Apple Watch version sends a subtle tap when an AI agent or a colleague needs attention, allowing the examiner to triage the request before switching back to the iPhone. This quick‑look feature reduces the time spent handling menus.
With the Vision Pro app, auditors can arrange agent activity next to the trial balance, workpapers and supporting documents in a three‑dimensional workspace.
